Home Inspections Every Buyer Should Know
The inspection process is critical to any escrow. This allows a buyer to thoroughly inspect any property they plan to purchase. Typically inspections must take place within 17 days of an offer’s acceptance date. This time frame is negotiable, however, and shortening it or choosing to forgo it completely can make your offer more competitive (though it is a risk).
Once escrow is opened, your real estate agent will present you with your inspection choices. Depending on the age, location, and condition of the home, you may need to add additional inspections.

If you are purchasing a condo, most of the exterior inspections are unnecessary as the elements are managed by the HOA. If you have further questions about the inspection process, contact Megan Majd at (310) 845-6209.
